Sycamore High School Orchestra

The Sycamore High School Orchestra is a curricular course for string players that meets each school day. Students with previous experience playing violin, viola, cello, and double bass can participate in this ensemble. The Sycamore High School Orchestra plays masterworks and modern music for string orchestra, as well as combining with winds and percussion to form the Symphony Orchestra. Students in this ensemble also have the opportunity to participate in solo and chamber music experiences. The Orchestra typically performs 3-4 on-campus concerts per year, as well as occasional participation in OMEA large group, solo and ensemble, or other festival or collaborative performances.
