E.H. Greene Intermediate School 6th Grade Orchestra

6th grade orchestra is a continuation of the fundamentals of instrumental music making that are begun in 5th grade beginning orchestra. In 6th grade orchestra, students encounter more complex music with more challenging rhythms, greater range, more diverse musical terminology, and polyphonic textures. Participation in 5th grade orchestra is prerequisite to continuing in 6th grade orchestra, although accommodations can be made for students who move into Sycamore Schools from another district. 6th grade orchestra meets two days in the four day specials rotation in like instrument groups (violin, viola, cello/bass) at E.H. Greene Intermediate School.
