Angelo Sylvester - Tuba
Email: angelojsylvester@gmail.com Bio: Angelo Sylvester is a teacher of low brass and voice in the Greater Cincinnati area. He holds a Bachelor of Music Education and Tuba Performance from Ohio University and a Masters in Arts Administration from the University of Kentucky. Angelo follows a student-first teaching model with a guiding mantra of “emotions generate learning.” This allows him to work with students of all levels and meet them where they are, ensuring to help them prepare for their unique musical goals. Students of Angelo have earned Superior ratings at OMEA Solo and Ensemble contest, placement in District Honor Ensembles, and admittance to Youth Wind Ensembles and Choirs. Students also regularly earn acceptance into rigorous collegiate programs for music education, performance, and production. He is currently on faculty at St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio where he directs the choral ensembles and teaches audio production. In addition to teaching students around the city, he is an active performer as a liturgical musician and is a member of the Cincinnati Wind Band.
